Why Sewing for Yourself is Important

I find myself writing a lot about body image, body size, and what it has to do with sewing for yourself. Why, you ask? Because for years I told myself that I wasn't good enough. I thought I needed to be unnaturally skinny for my body type because that's what I saw everywhere. This year, I put my foot down and finally said, "I AM ENOUGH!". You see, the past 6 months, I've been doing a lot of introspection and asking myself why it is I do what I do? Why do I love to make patterns for other women to sew and be happy with?   Body image has been a bit of a sore spot for me since I've been in high school. Honestly, it's been a struggle for me to maintain a healthy weight because well, I LOVE FOOD! I'm a self-described foodie and I'm also a stress eater. Nice combo! I've tried lots of diets...
